Games take on all forms and categories, as well as utilize every type of creature imaginable in the action variety. Still, have you ever played a game involving mutant bats being tracked by a spider? In SpiderRider Z, you will come face to face with bats, spiders, lightning, nasty weather and many other challenges. Legend has it that the spiders were living happily until the bats swooped in to take control of the land and the little green spider's loved one. The spider must now fight to regain all that is important to him! Nobody said it would be easy though!

As the spider, you must fight mutant bats, wacky and unpredictable weather, electrical barriers and many other strange and murky obstacles! Still, it doesn't matter the size of the small, brave spider! He has many fantastical and useful powerups with which to fight the menacing bats! Open SpiderRider Z to view the spider with his true love. Watch the bats come swooping in and the spider transform to a fighting ninja as his beloved gets swept away. Beware that the bats will cause the loss of a life if you allow them to touch the spider or his glowing line. Your objective is to capture 50% of the screen in order to finish your level. You will note the % meter on the left of your screen marking your progress. If you scroll through the locked levels, they are labeled according to their theme content such as Welcome, Warming Up, Presents, Trouble, Snow, Fog, Night, Walls, Electro and Crazy Days. The design of each game level changes to include these types of obstacles. Darkness and fog be gone, for the spider can use a lantern to make his way through the murky maze! Also, don't forget to use the radar powerup for bad visibility on gloomy days!

Maybe it's because I have an unshakeable sweet tooth, maybe it's the challenge or multi-colored hues, but I took a liking to Dessert Drop when I saw it. In this fast-paced game, sit back and simply try catch all the delicious cakes, donuts, cupcakes, and ice cream possible! How hard could that really be?

Sure good reflexes and coordination are required, and yes it gets harder as the game progresses. But that's all part of the fun! Do not catch any fish or bugs in between the sweets, and watch out for the tires because they'll flatten your accumulated goodies. Boom Boat

The world was aghast at the oil disaster last year when oil went pumping unchecked into the seas from a blown tank. It put on hold many ocean industries and ruined much sea life, thus becoming a nationwide catastrophe. Running along those lines is Boom Boat in which a new oil crisis has crippled the world economy. Oil gushers are appearing on ocean floors around the globe. Equipped with bombs, barrels, concrete and more it is imperative that those gushers are destroyed by any means necessary. What part can you take in this dreadful scenario? You must seal the gushers, stop the bad guys and save the world. Thankfully, it is all much simpler in this game than it was in the real catastrophe last year! Some of the neat features of Boom Boat are as follows:

- Tilt controls for movement
- Physics based puzzle gameplay where you blow stuff up, knock objects over and use gravity to your advantage.
- 30 levels with three challenge objectives per level. Can you get all 90 stars?

With my new and improved iPhone 4 of 16 GB, I am now able to add on apps for a while without worrying about lack of room. I found iQuarters today, and it struck my fancy as it reminded me of one of my faves, Paper Toss. Why? Because it's all about using some good aim to get an object exactly where it should go with a few obstructions thrown in for good measure! In iQuarters, what you have to do is flick a virtual quarter into a glass. Control the shot with your index finger or thumb to send that virtual silver piece homing in on its target. There are 2 playing modes to this game app. They are as follows:

Classic Mode and Practice Mode (1-4 players)  Features: Leaderboards, replays

- Classic Mode: players are given 40 quarters to navigate through 12 challenging scenes, sinking three quarters per round to advance. Points are awarded based on difficulty, including fun bonus multipliers for ricochet shots.

Who loves sweet, yummy, multi-colored donuts? Aahh..the true question is who doesn't love a good donut and cup of coffee! In Docking Donuts, you must sell the donuts ordered. You'll be supplied with donuts one by one, and then just lay each on the tray. To earn big points (or sell donuts), just put three or more donuts together then the donuts will be sold (removed).

As time goes on, the screen will be filled with the donuts from the bottom. Sell the donuts ordered before they overflow the tray. It's very easy to control and play this match three game app thus making this a fun past-time for all ages.

If you're looking for a challenging yet easy to understand family game that will suit all ages, here's a sweet and simple game for you. TMaze will be pleasantly enjoyed by all from young child to grandparent.

The theme is about a friendly tomato who must gather orbs in order to collect points. He must do so carefully in order to avoid the menacing Pumpkins that will end the player's game life, but the Golden Orbs will be useful protectors. You will enjoy clean, simple graphics and sound, with 20 levels of fun to keep you entertained for many a happy hour.

Speed up those reflexes with a trip to the gym, a cup of coffee, a game of Hot Plates or all three! Hot Plates will keep you really occupied serving up (what else but?) plates of hot food, along with the right sauce! The problem is that these plates are flashing by you on a conveyor belt, and you've got to make sure you squirt the right color sauce on each plate! Be warned that as the game progresses, that quirky conveyor belt speeds up to near the speed of sound! Your fingers will be moving like greased lightning! Don't sweat it though because special bonus plates and power-ups can help you manage the madness. In this new version, you will find an exciting new gameplay mode, new speeds for 'Classic' mode, new achievements, Retina Display graphics, and Game Center support!

I enjoyed playing Hot Plates because although a simple enough game, it is fun, addictive and a testament to your finger speed and strength. You've seen those TV shows where an excellent marksman shoots an apple off the head of a target in a swashbuckling style similar to good, old William Tell. Also, at local fairs they have simulated stick figures for which you can do the same kind of target shooting. You'll see a lot of customers at those booths trying their best to win the big, fluffy toy if they can only hit the target.

Imagine that you can now play this cool game on your iPad without having to go to the fair or arcade! ShootTheApple is a fun target-practice game in which you get to shoot the fruit off your chosen target's head. Choose your weapon carefully! Then, take aim by tilting your iPad to line up the sights. You'll find that as you progress through each level, difficulty is increased. But the flip side of the coin is that you get to unlock new and more fascinating weapons and targets. Remember though that nobody in this fun arcade game app gets seriously injured. It's all about having fun and working on your concentration and aim.

What's more, in ShootTheApple, you'll get a kick out of the amusing, sharp graphics, engaging targets, and progressive levels. Your job is to try to unlock all the available weapons!   This challenging and entertaining game is loads of fun, and I promise you'll have a hard time setting aside your iPad for more serious pursuits.

Feel up to a fast paced game this weekend? Maybe you want to take on a part-time job in a movie theater? Do all of this with the zany game app, Movie Rush! This is another Beansprites game where you get to buckle up for the ride with fast reflexes and smart moves. The story here is that the neighborhood movie theater opened its doors recently to a crowd of eager movie-goers. Not only are they anxious to watch the movies, but to buy some junk food before they flock in the theater to grab their seats. So how do you fit into this? Well, you're behind the food and candy counter, and you're supposed to be a good employee and feed the customers quickly with the right items so they can get a move on to their seats in time! If you meet your daily goal, you will earn new items and even more equipment! Some of the fun features of Movie Rush! are as follows:

Be sure to fill the cup with soda before moving it onto the tray. Drag and drop the food on the tray also, then quickly swipe (drag and drop) the tray to the customer, but be quick! It's that simple, yet as the game progresses you'll see various types of foods requested in larger quantities, and the clock will be moving more quickly. This movie game app is fun, colorful, and has realistic food and drink items. I love the sound of the soda machine while watching as the soda fills the cup. Lots of cuteness here!
