For those of us celebrating Christmas, I have only 3 little words for you, "Are you prepared?" First impressions are important, and so I must say I was intrigued upon opening First Time Christmas to find colorful, glossy graphics depicting the warmth and happiness of this special holiday. The Home Page provides 4 productive, interactive options of: Action Dates, Activities, Master List and Helpful Hints, each in its own neat pencil image. Once you select any of these options, you can then start entering your thoughts and plans.

Action Dates prompts you to accomplish tasks in a certain time period appropriately in advance of Christmas. Use the check box in front of each activity to show your task completion. As in all the activities, when you tap the "+" button in the top right of your display, you may Add (task) to the Calendar, Email Task (keep track of whether task is “Pending” or “Done”), or Add a New Task. Activities brings you the list of 7 items mentioned in the Features list above which helps you carefully think about and schedule all the Christmas tasks in every possible arena. Add your planned events at a pre-set time, or use your preferred date. Master List is a series of templates to note the various activities you must plan such as: Party List, Holiday Menu Planner, Grocery List, Gift List, Drink List, and more. shake2u - a secure way to transfer files via bluetooth and wifi

At heart, we all love to share relevant news and great photos. When I'm intrigued by a spectacular photo, some important business information, or just want to share contacts, the hands-down easiest way to do just that is by using shake2u. You don't have to resort to sending an email or having large photos bog down your phone as it goes through the server via messaging. However, this app is far more thorough than just simply passing along files via WiFi or Bluetooth!

shake2u by Wenjoy Technology Inc. is crafted to quickly and securely send the information you choose to friends or colleagues. There are many clever and thoughtful security measures taken by this developer to protect your files when being transferred. Alternately, if you have elected, your recipient may save files to photo album or share using email. The choices are all yours, and it only takes one tap to confirm your level of protection.

Take a look at some of the thoughtfully incorporated features of this secure Bluetooth and Wifi file sharing iPhone app:

- Connect two iPhones or iPod Touch devices via WiFi or Bluetooth automatically by shaking them together.
- Transfer various files such as docs, photos, contact info or business cards.
- Use Open in option to import to-be-transferred files into shake2u.
- Use Open in feature to export received files to other apps.
- Send the received files out via email.
- Automatically send your business card along with the file you send.
- Set the Read only option so the file you send cannot be re-distributed once opened inside shake2u.
- Set the Delete when expired feature so the file you send is automatically deleted after a specifically set time period.
- Set the Delete after browsing feature so the file sent is deleted upon leaving the app.

File types supported by shake2u include:

- MS Office (doc, docx, xls, xlsx, ppt, pptx, pps, ppsx…)
- iWorks '09, '08, '06 files (key, numbers, pages…)
- PDF file (pdf)
- Text files (txt, rtf, rtfd)
- Web files (htm, html, xml, svg), Safari Web Archives (webarchive)

Launch the app on both devices then shake them. For the mild at heart, tap either on the app's name or where it reads Disconnected to Connect them together. Do this via the same WiFi network or using your Bluetooth option. Select the file you want transferred, then choose from among 4 options: No Protection, Read Only, Delete when expired or Delete after browsing. Once sent, you will see the file on the other device conveniently time stamped as to its receipt.

Now about those cool, protective features... If you send a file as Delete after browsing (the recipient will notice a padlock with eye next to file name), when exiting that screen the item will no longer be available on his device. Read Only means the file cannot be transferred to a 3rd device. Delete when expired means that a specific time period will be allocated to the recipient to view the file, after which time it will be deleted. (Notice a padlock with a clock designating a time span next to the file name). No Protection, of course, means you are not worried about others sharing your info.

Let's discuss the many options in Settings... You can elect to share items with your computer or iPad using iTunes file Sharing, set a passcode to the entire app by tapping Protected, Always confirm before connection and, most importantly, Transfer always with my card. It's an efficient means of ensuring your recipient has a record that files sent were from you. (Simply tap the "i" on your screen to get related information on any file received). Organize all your chosen files by creating a folder in which to place them using the Edit tab.

One can't help but admire the ease in using this app and how smoothly it functions. Files are quickly transferred with no drop in connection. This fact is topped only by the sleek and very attractive graphics and interface of shake2u. Confidently use this well constructed file sharing app with friends or at business meetings to exchange necessary information. Or do as I did, and "shake" information from your iPhone to iPad, saving yourself a lot of time and having a bunch of fun while doing so!

COOL CONCLUSION: shake2u is a cleverly constructed Bluetooth and WiFi file sharing app with many thoughtful security measures to protect your sensitive information.
