Many of us are aware that there are a good amount of tip calculator apps out there. But make room for a totally unique and new one. Stop and take a good look at the workings of this particular item! CheckTip is unlike the other tipping apps and is magically simple to use.
Here's the difference - you don't have to manually enter your restaurant bill amount into the app. CheckTip scans it in for you. Once scanned, it immediately supplies a tip and total amount! That's because this app uses Optical Character Recognition (OCR) Technology to get the required bill information and then calculate your tip and final bill. All in seconds! It's that clever and simple, and you can't help but admire its sheer genius. In a nutshell, here are the the features of this iPhone tip calculation utility app are as follows:
- Take a photo of your check while putting the bill amount in the red box
- Move the slider to adjust tip percentage
- Your tip and total percentages are displayed on the check
As explained above, hold your phone over the bill, and make sure the bill amount is centered in the red box, then tap the camera icon. The Optical Character Recognition will go to work and display the appropriate tip and total bill based on the input of that amount. The slider is set by default to 15%, and that is where I leave it. However, you can adjust it at any time to reflect your personal tipping preferences.
If you want to adjust where the tip and total amounts are displayed, simply drag them to the lines specified on the standard credit card bill. Like to keep track of your eating out expenses? No problem, just tap the green check mark to save the bill to your photo album. Let's count the taps it took for me to figure the tip on my dinner tonight.... Hmmm, only 1! No brain power required, no manual input. CheckTip certainly revolutionizes paying your bill utilizing OCR thus adding a touch of magic!
COOL CONCLUSION: Instantly calculate the tip on your bills while eating out by using CheckTip to scan the bill, then provide a tip and final total amount! One tap is all it takes!
