Many of us are aware that there are a good amount of tip calculator apps out there. But make room for a totally unique and new one. Stop and take a good look at the workings of this particular item! CheckTip is unlike the other tipping apps and is magically simple to use.

Here's the difference - you don't have to manually enter your restaurant bill amount into the app. CheckTip scans it in for you. Once scanned, it immediately supplies a tip and total amount! That's because this app uses Optical Character Recognition (OCR) Technology to get the required bill information and then calculate your tip and final bill. All in seconds! It's that clever and simple, and you can't help but admire its sheer genius. In a nutshell, here are the the features of this iPhone tip calculation utility app are as follows:

- Take a photo of your check while putting the bill amount in the red box
- Move the slider to adjust tip percentage
- Your tip and total percentages are displayed on the check

As explained above, hold your phone over the bill, and make sure the bill amount is centered in the red box, then tap the camera icon. The Optical Character Recognition will go to work and display the appropriate tip and total bill based on the input of that amount. The slider is set by default to 15%, and that is where I leave it. However, you can adjust it at any time to reflect your personal tipping preferences.

If you want to adjust where the tip and total amounts are displayed, simply drag them to the lines specified on the standard credit card bill. Like to keep track of your eating out expenses? No problem, just tap the green check mark to save the bill to your photo album. Let's count the taps it took for me to figure the tip on my dinner tonight.... Hmmm, only 1! No brain power required, no manual input. CheckTip certainly revolutionizes paying your bill utilizing OCR thus adding a touch of magic!

COOL CONCLUSION: Instantly calculate the tip on your bills while eating out by using CheckTip to scan the bill, then provide a tip and final total amount! One tap is all it takes!

It's hard to believe the year is almost at an end. Has the clock raced ahead without our knowing perhaps? In any event, some people wait 365 days for what they consider to be the most important day of the year. That would be Black Friday. On this hallowed and all-important day, folks leave their home long before sunrise to head to the shopping malls to nab the biggest deals of the year (although I think those super low prices quoted are not really the lowest at all).

I know of folks who on Thanksgiving day sit around after the big meal, and plan a shopping route for the next day, Black Friday. They will highlight, circle, mark all the items they want in the stores shown in the newspaper adds that happily adorn their driveways early that morn. Well, now you can plan ahead long before Thanksgiving newspapers hit the ground, by using the Black Friday app on your mobile device to carefully survey and plot shopping moves on this grand shopping deal day. Some of the features you will be glad to find in this universal iPhone and iPad holiday Black Friday shopping app are as follows:

* Search and sort deals by store, category, brand and price range
* Advanced search for free shipping, doorbusters, online availability and rebates
* Search by phrase (product name)
* Review individual deals details for price and additional discounts
* Receive push notifications each time a new store ad is made public
* Share deals via email or text
* Add deals to Wish Lists for quick in-store reference and comparison

With this app, you will be able to see the electronic versions of the real newspaper ads that will appear on Thanksgiving day. Check out each page on your phone or iPad and see what deals are available for the items you absolutely must have! Sort through the items, search sale "papers" with prices and images, save lists of deals and pretty much just knock yourself out enjoying all the delightful shopping that awaits your pleasure on Black Friday. Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to America!

COOL CONCLUSION: There is no better time to start planning your shopping maneuvers than right now by using the Black Friday app to plan out a day of steals and deals by major retailers near you!

Accounting can be a boring task, especially when it comes to doing your budget spreadsheets, paying bills, and taking a look at all your "vast" income! If you haven't already incorporated budget worksheets and keeping up with your finances into weekend tasks, I'd have to suggest using CoinKeeper HD to get you started on this sensible and very important task (although it's not the same as a day at the beach!)

CoinKeeper HD makes practical, easy-to-understand charts with accompanying numbers to help make your work enjoyable and understandable! Take a look at some of the features included in this budget and finance, money tracking iPad app:

- Quick start with autobudgeting mode

- Reminders of upcoming bills & recurring transactions
- Spending and income stats on neat charts

The pie and bar charts are infinitely helpful in providing quick and current info on your financial situation. The little gold buttons depicting new transactions are easily be dragged on your screen as you need them. The foresight gained by being able to see how much you are spending and on what particular item over any specified time period is quite invaluable! The clever and unique design of this iPad app makes boring spreadsheets a thing of the past. Colorful, clear design, loads of statistics and manipulations on your numbers plus the ability to sync to your iPhone makes this app extremely valuable.

I would have to say that making income, accounts, expenses and goals visible on one page though is the icing on the cake. It is so helpful to view all the important factors in one place. No more excuses needed for accounting tasks thanks to CoinKeeper HD! If you had the choice of an innovative, mobile and feature laden app versus a spreadsheet on your desktop, which would you choose? Case closed, no answer needed here!

COOL CONCLUSION: CoinKeeper HD: personal finance app for budget is a remarkably clever app that provides you with the current and future statistics you need to make your personal bookkeeping enjoyable, understandable and simply accurate.

On launching MetaTrader 4, choose between options to Login with existing account, or Open demo account. If you feel like a trial run, use the Demo mode as I did. Once this is accomplished, and you have selected your broker, the screen will display Quotes, Chart, Trade, History and Settings underneath, while you have the option for Simple or Advanced views above. The Simple screen is just that with each country's currency price while the Advanced tab shows fluctuations every second along with the expected spread. A clean screen with large font makes the currencies easy to read. Tap the + button to insert another FOREX currency.

Let's discuss the Quotes screen first. Tap any currency on either View to be able to Trade, Chart or see Details of that particular currency. Details include: Spread, Digits, Stops level, Pendings GTC, Contract Size, Profit Calculation. If you are visual and want to utilize the powerful features of this app, tap Chart to see a list of helpful indicators which may be scrolled to see their continuous performance. The graphs are extremely helpful in pinpointing the currency's performance. Tap Trade and you will be able to adjust the wheel for Instant Execution, Buy Limit, Sell Limit and the same for Stop Limit. It's that easy to conduct a trade on the spot!

Moving on to the Charts page, with 3 chart types including Bars, Japanese Candlesticks and Lines, you will be able to get a clear picture of those currencies you have selected. This is made even more eye-pleasing when you tweak color and line width of the indicators. Technical indicators that are used include Accelerator Oscillator, Accumulation/Distribution, Bears Power, Bollinger Bands, Bulls Power, Momentum, Money Flow Index, and that's just naming some of the list of 30 provided!

On the 3rd button, or Trade screen of MetaTrader 4, find the concise information you need such as Profit, Balance, Equity, Margin, Free Margin and Margin Level %. Perhaps the most important data will be your History, however. Here you can view your activities by Day, Week, Month or even include a Custom configuration. Find your Balance, along with Profit, Credit Deposit and Withdrawal numbers. Settings include the ability to add broker Accounts, tweak your Charts, view any Messages and keep track of your activities in a daily Journal. The details are piled on in this conveniently simple, but powerful currency trading app. MetaTrader 4 is an able assistant in watching the market for you every second and taking care of your trades.

COOL CONCLUSION: Conduct your foreign exchange trading with ease and confidence when you use MetaTrader 4, the FOREX app loaded with numerous trade details, indicators, charts and graphs designed to help you trade smartly!
